badge: noun; A distinctive emblem worn as a mark of office, membership, achievement, licensed employment, etc.; Example: That X is a BADGE of commitment.; fr: badge
bailiff: noun; An official in a court of law who keeps order, looks after prisoners, etc.; Example: He refused his consent to the election of Quiney as BAILIFF in 1592.; fr: huissier
Canadian Security Intelligence Service: noun; Canada's primary national intelligence service responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting and disseminating intelligence on threats to Canada's national security.; Example: He was hired by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.; fr: service canadien du renseignement de sécurité
community policing: noun; The system of allocating police officers to particular areas so that they become familiar with the local inhabitants.; Example: The Key has so little true crime that most of our law enforcement is done by the unsworn deputies of the COMMUNITY POLICING unit.; fr: police communautaire

remand: noun; To place a defendant on bail or in custody, especially when trial is adjourned.; Example: She is responsible for the instruction of investigation, which is usually carried out by the police, including extended REMAND and other coercive measures, and naturally prosecution.; fr: renvoi
